Oakland SC Announces Official Kit Partnership - October 29, 2021
Headquartered in Valsamoggia (Bologna), Italy, Macron has become the official kit supplier of Oakland Soccer Club in a two year partnership agreement. Macron is represented by international pro teams such as Lazio, Stoke City, Real Sociedad, Sporting Club Portugal and Red Star Belgrade. They are also the official referee kit supplier for the UEFA Champions League.
The initial connection was made with Area Manager Tigran Avetisyan in Italy and the timing was perfect. Already well established in Europe, Macron was very interested in breaking into the US market. After some initial discussions, Avetisyan then connected the club with their US representative Alan Elgart.

“We want Oakland players to feel proud to wear our kit and we don’t want to look like any other club. We wanted a brand, design and color that nobody else had. We are Oakland and there’s nobody else like us,” said Edward Stephen, Co President of Oakland Soccer Club.
This partnership is a critical component for the new vision and direction of the club. In the past, there was no consistency in kits used across the club. Oakland SC’s new leadership wanted to unite the club and get the community behind the club. Having one kit for the Oakland SC is a huge step forward to creating something special the town can embrace and be proud of. |
