Womens Team

Women’s soccer is capturing the attention of the sporting world and is quickly catching up to the men. But it has had to overcome adversity and discrimination to get to where it is today.

Gender stereotypes discourage girls from sports, but we hope to help to even the playing field. Girls in Oakland girls receive less encouragement to participate in sports or are even actively discouraged from Soccer as it being for "boys". Our Women's Team aims to do more than win championships, we aim to inspire young girls in Oakland to play soccer, show them anything is possible and shatter the gender lens.
